A Warm Welcome to the School Year!

Dear Students, Parents, and Guardians, 

Welcome to Ray Reynolds Middle School. My name is Shannon Lockard, and I am honored to be your principal. 
 
With over 20 years in education—as a middle school teacher, literacy coach, assistant principal, and principal—I am delighted to continue serving as principal at Reynolds Middle School. At Reynolds Middle School we strive to provide a comprehensive and inclusive education, closing the opportunity gaps to ensure student learning and success for all students. 
 
At Reynolds, we GROWL—we demonstrate Growth, Resilience, Openness, Wisdom, and Leadership. These values guide our daily actions and reflect our belief in the potential of every student.  

In Professional Learning Teams, our dedicated teachers determine the most effective teaching strategies to engage students and promote mastery of standards across all content areas. By fostering a culture of collaboration, rigorous learning experiences, and student support, we aim to create a nurturing educational environment where each student feels valued, supported, and motivated to achieve their goals. 
 
I am incredibly grateful to serve alongside such an exceptional team and to partner with you in supporting your child’s learning journey. We are excited for the year ahead and all the opportunities it holds!
