We believe students who are involved in extra-curricular activities are happier, healthier, and perform better academically. By participating in athletics, our Grizzlies G.R.O.W.L., as they Grow physically and intellectually, are Resilient in their sport, are Open to developing new skills, are Wise in their choices, and Lead on and off the field/court. These skills will empower our Grizzlies to be tomorrows’ leaders and have a positive impact in their community today!
Ray Reynolds Middle School boasts an energetic and robust athletic program aimed at nurturing exceptional student-athletes. Our dedicated coaches are passionate about igniting motivation within our students to excel in qualities such as honesty, sportsmanship, teamwork, and individual skill development. Together, we strive to make success an attainable goal for every student during their time at Reynolds.
Before You Begin: Important Requirements
Before any student-athlete can join our sports programs, it's crucial to fulfill the following requirements:

Complete the Family ID registration, available online.
2. All students must upload their most recent PHYSICAL to Family ID online. Paper physicals will not be accepted in the office. Physicals are valid for 24 months from the exam date. Students with expired physicals cannot participate in practices or games until a new physical is provided.
3. Obtain a current $15 ASB (Associated Student Body) card, available for purchase at the Ray Reynolds Main Office or on www.schoolpay.com.
4. Maintain a minimum of a 2.0 GPA and pass five out of six classes.
5. Only current 7th or 8th grade students are able to participate in sports.
6. Students who failed 1 or more classes or do not maintain a 2.0 GPA during the trimester for the 2023-2024 school year will be placed on academic probation.
7. Medical insurance. This can be your own or you can purchase it online. Enroll for student insurance online.

Parents/Guardians, your responsibility includes completing the Family ID registration form comprehensively and ensuring that all medical information concerning your child's health, medical concerns, injuries, medications, and allergies are communicated to the Athletic Department and Coaches.

Season Sport Dates
- Fall Sports Season (August 22- October 18 2024) SY 2024-25
- Football: start date/first practice is Thursday, August 22nd from 3:00-5:00pm.
- Volleyball, Girls Soccer, Boys Soccer, Cross Country start date is Tuesday, August 27th from 3:00-5pm. (Drop off students at 2:45pm, no earlier please to avoid after school pick up traffic with 6th grade first day of school)
- Beginning 8/28/24 all practices Football, Soccer, Volleyball & Cross Country will be right after school.
- Winter I Sports Season (October 21-Dec 13 2024) SY 2024-25
- Boys Basketball & Dance
- Winter II Sports Season (January 6-February 28 2025) SY 2024-25
- Girls Basketball, Wrestling
